How We Help Families Fighting Pediatric Cancer

Pediatric cancer devastates families in ways most people never see. Beyond the medical battles, families face crushing financial burdens, emotional exhaustion, and profound isolation. We provide comprehensive support because we know that families need more than money. They need a community that understands their fight.

Emergency Assistance

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families face immediate financial crisis. Medical bills pile up while parents miss work. We provide direct grants to cover urgent needs: rent, utilities, groceries, gas for hospital trips, and essentials that can't wait.

Gold Fight Family Network

Isolation makes everything harder. Our Gold Fight Family program connects families walking this path together. Through our private support group, families share experiences, offer emotional support, and remind each other they're not fighting alone. This is community in the truest sense.

Holistic Emotional Support

We stand alongside families through every round of this fight. Our volunteer team - many with personal experience with pediatric cancer - provides ongoing emotional support, helps navigate resources, and simply listens when families need someone who truly understands.

Meet Angel - Q2 2026

Word's From Her Mom

The miracles of life, and Angel is one! 12 years ago, she put her all into a fight against childhood cancer, ALL, a form of Leukemia.  Angel loved camping, West Virginia, and mountain climbing (not the extreme kinds). In 2014, Angel was not herself during the summer. She did not want to walk up the mountains or swim in the river, and we didn’t know why until she started filling with bruises and petechiae. We took her to the pediatrician and had some blood tests done to find out.

It was indeed leukemia. fast-forward to the summer of 2026. Angel is a healthy, thriving,  determined, high school graduate, living her best life in the state of Florida. Her cancer diagnosis and journey did not weaken her, but molded her into a strong, independent young lady who is choosing to live life to the absolute fullest.

We recognize that families need more than financial assistance. They need emotional support, community connection, and the simple power of knowing someone cares. Our approach addresses the complete weight of this disease.

Ten Years Ringside. Still Fighting. Never Leaving Anyone Behind.

GOLD IN FIGHT 10th Anniversary Campaign • September 8, 2026

Get In The Ring With Us

Gold in Fight was founded in September 2016 by retired military veterans who had been personally devastated by pediatric cancer. What began as bringing food to families at the local hospital in the MD/DC/VA area grew into a nationwide mission. As of January 2026, we now serve families across the entire United States — because geography should never determine whether a family gets help. We are 100% volunteer-run. Every single dollar donated goes directly to families. No salaries. No hidden costs

In honor of 10 years of fighting alongside families, we're asking our community to step up this September. No matter the amount, your gift goes directly to emergency financial grants, family support, and awareness — right now, for families in crisis.
