Zoey
Zoey was diagnosed with b-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in July 2019 when she was only 3 years old.
On July 14, 2019 Zoey's mom noticed Zoey had a fever and lip adhesions. She took Zoey to her doctor which ended them up at an emergency room. Things were still not getting better and the fever escalated leading to another emergency room visit, but this time they transported Zoey to Johns Hopkins Hospital. On July 16, 2019, the doctors diagnosed Zoey with b-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
She underwent a two and a half year treatment plan and will get to ring the bell the end of Sept. 2021.
"Up until July 2019, she was your typical, happy, healthy, playful child," her mom said.
Zoey loves to frequently visit the zoo and when not there she asks her mom to look at the zoo's webcams.
"She is a little firecracker that just says what's on her mind," her mom said. "She loves her dog Lani, her grandparents dog Bella and spending time with her family."
