Mike and Liane GriffithMike and Liane have been married for over 40 years. Mike is a native of Dundalk, Maryland, and Liane is from Nuremberg, Germany. The two met while Mike was serving in the US Army from 1983 to 2003. Mike recently retired from the Department of Defense as the Director of Logistics for the Defense Media Activity located on Fort Meade. Liane retired as an underwriter for a finance company. They have two children and seven grandkids. Their work with other foundations, and seeing how devastating childhood cancer is, compelled them to help families in need. “We just want to make a difference and help these beautiful kids.”

Bryan and Glenda GatewoodBryan and Glenda’s daughter, Kate, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in June 2010. They are passionate and committed advocates in the fight against childhood cancer, devoting their energy, creativity, and expertise to working with non-profit organizations dedicated to ending childhood cancer. They have participated in national fundraising initiatives, raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer. As parents who have experienced the hardships and challenges associated with a child diagnosed and treated for cancer, their goal is to be a source of hope and emotional support to other families.
