Gold Angel Austin
|
Austin was a fun-loving, energetic little boy who loved to run around and play like a typical 5 year old.
On December 2016, his family received the devastating news from the doctor at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital that he had leukemia. Austin was diagnosed with a very aggressive form called T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. During his treatments he told his mom he doesn't mind that he has to go through all the "pokes" and all the medications. Austin said, "Mom, I really don't care, I'll do it and by the time I'm 8 years old I'll be all better." "I tried not to cry, his mom said. "But he just has a little heart of gold and I love him with all my heart." Austin endured approximately three years of chemo treatments. Unfortunately, Austin passed when he was 6. |
